## Information We Collect

### Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your name (or display name)
- Email address
- Profile photo (if you choose to upload one or sign in with Google/Apple)

### User-Generated Content
When you use the app, you may create:
- Community posts and reflections
- Prayer requests
- Gratitude entries
- Daily question answers
- Comments on community content
- Bible bookmarks and notes
- Reading habits and streak data
- Annotation drawings on Bible pages

### Automatically Collected Information
- Basic app usage data required for functionality (e.g., authentication state, subscription status)
- We do **not** use analytics or crash reporting SDKs
- We do **not** track your activity across other apps or websites

## How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:
- Provide and maintain app functionality
- Display your content in community features
- Manage your account and subscription
- Generate AI-powered devotional content (via Anthropic Claude API)
- Retrieve Bible text (via API.Bible)

We do **not**:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Use your data for advertising
- Track you across apps or websites
- Share your data with data brokers

## Third-Party Services

Scripture Scribe uses the following third-party services to operate:

## Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete:
- Your user profile and account information
- All bookmarks, notes, bookmark groups
- All habits and habit logs
- All saved items
- Your profile photo and annotation images from storage
- Your Firebase Authentication account

Community posts, prayer requests, gratitude entries, and comments you authored will remain visible but will no longer be linked to your account.

## Your Rights

You have the right to:
- **Access** your data through the app at any time
- **Update** your profile information and content
- **Delete** your account and all associated data (Settings > Delete Account)
- **Report** inappropriate content created by other users

## Children's Privacy

Scripture Scribe is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

## Subscriptions

Scripture Scribe offers optional premium subscriptions (weekly, monthly, yearly, and lifetime). Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. We do not directly process any payment information.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above.
